Refund Policy

Effective DateAugust 12, 2026Last UpdatedAugust 12, 2026

Clear rules for free trials, subscription cancellations, usage charges, implementation work and refund requests.

This Refund Policy applies to Shofield AI products and services supplied by Main Shofield Group, Inc. (“Shofield,” “Shofield AI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). It forms part of the Shofield AI Legal Terms and applies unless an order form, enterprise agreement, government contract, or other signed agreement states different terms.

Shofield AI is designed primarily for companies, organizations and professional users. Nothing in this policy limits rights that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

At a Glance

Cancel a trial before it ends to avoid the first subscription charge. Cancel a paid subscription before its renewal date to avoid the next charge. Cancellation normally stops future billing; it does not ordinarily refund a billing period that has already started.

  • Seven-day trial: no subscription fee if cancelled before the trial ends
  • Monthly or annual plan: cancel before renewal to stop the next charge
  • Duplicate or incorrect charge: refundable after verification
  • Consumed AI usage or committed external cost: non-refundable
  • Implementation work: governed by the applicable proposal or order form
  • Mandatory statutory rights: always preserved

Refund eligibility is determined from the purchase record, the applicable checkout disclosures, consumption and service records, this policy, and any separate written agreement.

02

Seven-Day Free Trials

An eligible Shofield AI plan may begin with a seven-day free trial. The trial starts when the plan is activated. The sign-up or checkout flow will disclose the plan, price, billing interval, trial period, whether a payment method is required, and whether the plan will convert to a paid subscription when the trial ends.

If the trial is configured to convert automatically, the disclosed subscription charge is due when the trial ends unless you cancel before the displayed trial deadline. A cancellation received before that deadline prevents the first subscription charge.

The free trial covers the subscription fee only. AI usage, purchased credits, advertising spend, telephone, messaging, email, data, third-party services, implementation, or other separately priced items may be charged during a trial only where you have expressly authorized them and the charge was disclosed.

Trials are generally limited to one per customer, company or substantially related group. We may refuse, suspend or end a trial reasonably believed to be duplicate, fraudulent, abusive or created to avoid payment. Enterprise and Government trials may be governed by a separate written trial agreement.

03

Subscriptions and Renewals

Paid monthly and annual subscriptions are billed in advance and renew for the billing interval shown at checkout unless cancelled before the next renewal date. The applicable price, taxes, included usage and billing interval are shown before purchase.

You may cancel through the billing or subscription controls available in your Shofield AI account. If those controls are unavailable, email Legal@shofield.aifrom the account email address. We treat a cancellation as effective when it is successfully submitted through the account or received by us.

After cancellation, access ordinarily continues until the end of the paid billing period. Except where this policy, a written agreement or applicable law says otherwise, subscription fees are non-refundable and we do not provide prorated refunds or credits for unused time, unused features, account inactivity, downgrades, or a decision to stop using the service during a paid period.

We provide renewal notices, cancellation confirmations and other subscription communications when required by applicable law. A plan upgrade, downgrade or replacement follows the pricing and effective date shown when the change is confirmed.

04

Usage, Credits and External Costs

Shofield AI can incur variable and third-party costs when it runs AI models, generates images, video, voice or audio, enriches data, performs searches, sends communications, places calls, uses advertising services, or accesses other paid infrastructure.

Purchased credits, top-ups, metered usage and usage-based charges are non-refundable once used, allocated to a completed request, or committed to an external provider. Included or promotional credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.

Advertising spend, media spend, telephone charges, messaging charges, email charges, data purchases, domain or hosting charges, model-provider fees and other third-party costs are non-refundable once committed or consumed. A charge caused by a verified billing error remains eligible for correction under Section 6.

05

Implementation and Managed Services

Custom implementation, onboarding, configuration, integration, training, consulting and managed-service work may require a deposit, advance payment, minimum commitment or reserved delivery capacity. The applicable proposal, statement of work, order form or service agreement controls cancellation and refund terms for that engagement.

Unless a written agreement states otherwise, amounts covering completed work, work already in progress, reserved capacity, purchased licenses, committed external costs and non-cancellable obligations are non-refundable. If Shofield agrees to cancel an engagement before all work is completed, any approved refund is limited to the unearned and uncommitted balance after those amounts are deducted.

Enterprise and Government orders, procurement arrangements, service-level commitments and sovereign deployments are governed by their signed contracts.

06

Billing Errors and Service Problems

Duplicate or incorrect charges

If we verify that the same purchase was charged more than once, or that the amount charged materially differs from the amount you authorized, we will correct the error and refund the incorrect amount to the original payment method.

Unauthorized account activity

Report suspected unauthorized account use promptly. We may require reasonable identity, account and transaction verification before taking action. This process does not limit any rights available through your bank, payment provider or applicable law.

Material service failure

If a paid Shofield service is materially unavailable because of a verified failure within Shofield's control, notify us promptly and allow a reasonable opportunity to investigate and restore the service. Where we cannot reasonably remedy a qualifying failure, we may provide a service extension, account credit, or proportionate refund. Scheduled maintenance, third-party failures, customer configuration, unsupported integrations, misuse and force-majeure events do not automatically qualify. Any applicable service-level agreement controls.

07

How to Request a Refund

Email Legal@shofield.aiwith the subject “Refund request.” To help us investigate, include:

  • your full name and company name
  • the email address connected to the account
  • the invoice, order or transaction reference
  • the charge date and amount
  • the reason for the request
  • relevant screenshots or other supporting information

Do not email full card numbers, passwords, API keys or other sensitive credentials. Submit a request promptly after discovering the issue. Unless a longer period is required by law or contract, requests made more than 60 days after the charge may be more difficult to verify.

We aim to acknowledge a complete request within five business days and decide it within ten business days. Complex, third-party or security-related investigations may take longer. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing time after issue is controlled by the payment provider and financial institution.

08

Mandatory Legal Rights

Shofield AI is primarily a business-to-business platform. Business purchasers do not necessarily receive consumer cooling-off or withdrawal rights.

If you purchase outside a trade, business or profession and applicable law treats you as a consumer, mandatory consumer rights may apply despite this policy. These may include rights relating to pre-contract information, cancellation, withdrawal, automatic renewals, defective digital services and refunds. Those rights prevail wherever they cannot legally be waived or excluded.

Where permitted by law, requesting immediate access to digital services during a statutory withdrawal period may affect the refund amount or withdrawal right, but only where the required disclosures, consent and acknowledgements have been provided.

Nothing in this policy limits remedies that applicable law, a payment-network rule, or a separately signed agreement requires us to provide.

09

Policy Changes

We may update this Refund Policy to reflect changes to our products, billing practices, payment providers, contracts or legal obligations. The current version will be published on this page with its effective and last-updated dates.

A change does not retroactively remove a refund right that had already arisen. We will provide notice of material changes where required by applicable law or contract.
